Md Shirajis Shadik is an Assistant Professor of Public Administration at the University of Barishal in Bangladesh. He is informally known as Sirajis Sadik. He is an academic, researcher, and writer who has earned a Master of Science in Public Policy from the University of Bristol in the United Kingdom. In 2023, Mr Shirajis was awarded the prestigious Commonwealth Shared Scholarship to further his studies in the UK. Before this, he obtained his Bachelor's degree and Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Dhaka in Bangladesh.

In his research and opinion-editorials for newspapers, he analyses various policy perspectives related to social issues, administrative challenges, and the anthropogenic impacts of climate change. In 2024, he had a unique opportunity to present his research work on the 'Decolonisation of Education' at Somerville College, University of Oxford.

With experience in higher education teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, he specialises in interdisciplinary instruction across public administration, governance, and social sciences. His teaching responsibilities have encompassed courses such as Principles of Management, Financial Administration in Bangladesh, Qualitative Research Methodology, International Trade and Relations, Human Rights and Social Justice, Organisational Behaviour, and Introduction to Politics and Government.
