Ashim's past researches were focused on the impact of mobile phone use on women's empowerment; positions of urban informal sector workers in social protection perspective; social media's role in public opinion formation during social movements; and climate change. In general, he is interested in topics such as families and intimate relationships, the environment, cities and urban life, gender, and technology.
Ashim is interested in research collaboration.
