Short Biography:
Dr. Md. Arif Ul Islam is a distinguished academic and researcher, currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at the University of Barishal, Bangladesh. His academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science from Jagannath University, followed by a Master of Science from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. He further advanced his studies by joining Prof. Soga's research group at Nagoya Institute of Technology, Japan, where he pursued his PhD. Dr. Islam's research is primarily focused on next-generation solar cells, photovoltaics, and advanced functional materials, driven by a commitment to sustainable energy solutions. He has established the Nanotechnology and Energy Device Lab (NED) at the University of Barishal, aiming to fulfill Suustainable Development Goal 7 His contributions to the scientific community are significant, with over 24 research articles published in Science Citation Index Expanded journals, and he has received numerous national and international awards and research grants.
